An offering of music and dance to the musical genius for the milestone of his birth centenary, \u2018Sh\u0101shwat\u2019 celebrates his exemplary life and musical legacy.<\/p>

Pandit Kumar Gandharva\u2019s timeless music bridged dualities, assimilating the best from tradition and modernity, from classical and folk traditions. Kumar-ji lives on in the hearts of disciples and rasikas through the sheer bliss of his art.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

\u2018Sh\u0101shwat\u2019 will be presented in two segments:<\/p>

Vocal music concert<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Kumar-ji\u2019s unique compositions by his prashishyas (grand-disciples) \u2013 Sawani Mudgal and Khushal Sharma. Their guru, Pandit Madhup Mudgal is a prime disciple of Pandit Kumar Gandharva, and passed on a rich legacy that carries forward through them.<\/p>

This will be followed by\u00a0Odissi dance<\/strong>\u00a0by\u00a0Arushi Mudgal<\/a>\u00a0with live music, culminating with a composition of the maestro.<\/p>
